About Macintosh

We're an IRC based community which has been around since 2005. Our IRC
channel, ##mac, was registered Jan 12th 2005. Just over seven year ago. We're
quite a small community, but we're quite a lively one, too.

If you want to join us, connect to Freenode and join ##mac.

Channel Rules
-------------

Common sense applies most of the time, but we have laid down some simple
ground rules.

	1) Don't be rude or abusive. If you're friendly towards other people, they're more
	likely to be friendly towards you.

	2) We don't support Hackint0sh or x86. We will permit discussions
	surrounding this topic, but we will NOT assist you in stealing software.
	
	2a) We can't support items of hardware or software that aren't
	in Apple's "catalog" of products. Someone might help, so ask anyway, but
	don't be disappointed or offended if no one answers.

	2b) We don't support warez or (intellectual) property theft of any kind.

	3) Please don't spam the channel with crap such as auto-aways or music
	play list announcers - no one cares. Very creative people have invented
	web-based services for sharing and discovering new music, such as Spotify,
	Last.FM, etc. Use them.
